A list of more than 50 models of headphones with balanced connection jacks

gist

I want over ear headphones with balanced jacks even if I don't have the money! So I looked it up and listed them in order of cheapness. Nice to help you!

Contents.

What's official and what's not

In the following, we'll call those cables that are claimed to be "balanced" by official manufacturers, or that come with a balanced cable for the headphone, "official support", and those that are claimed to be compatible with third-party cables (though, since there are many different manufacturers' cables on amazon, we've narrowed it down to the more expensive ones) "stray support".

Please forgive me for not being able to find the source, which may have made some of the originally official ones stray.

So, first of all, I've put together a list of the major manufacturers that support balanced connections, regardless of the high or low price.

The jacks in the list are those of the side that connects to the headphones (not the side that connects to the player or amplifier, because it depends on the cable).

If it's labeled "double baring", the cable must be separated into two legs, so you can't use the same cable as the one with only one leg. (One legged jack is with the inexpensive phones, and the two-legged one is often found in the more expensive models.

Also, just because the jacks are the same does not mean that they can be used all the time. For example, on price.com.

The AH-MM400 has a special shape on the headphone side, and even when I plugged in a commercially available cable for the MDR-1A, no sound came out due to poor contact.

There is also a chat like this one. Please be careful when you actually buy some.

Not Officially Anounced (there is no mention of balanced connections or cables on the official website, but some third party cable manufactures claim they can)

The stray correspondence will be seen from third-party cable sites. I checked the sites of five manufacturers, NOBUNAGA LAB, Kimber, Brise, oidio and nordost, who sell expensive cables. I'm not sure if the headphone jacks are compatible with a balanced connection or not, so this is just a reference.

NOBUNAGA LABS' says the cable "Kegon"

for

SONY:3.5mm cable for MDR-Z1R・MDR-Z7・MDR-Z7M2

matches other headphones such as

DENON: AH-D9200, AH-D7200, AH-D7100, AH-D5200, AH-D600
JVC:HA-SW01, HA-SW02
PIONEER:SE-MONITOR5
FOCAL: Clear Professional
VECLOS: HPT-700, HPS-500
HIFIMAN: HE1000se, HE6se, HE5se, Arya, and ANANDA

The 2.5mm single-sided cable "Gojutake" is for

DENON:AH-D1200

and so on. After all, 3.5mm is a lot of support.

On the KIMBER site, you can see images of the jacks when you select them on the customization page, so you can compare them.

Looking at the Brise Audio website, it's unclear what the jacks are, but

OPPO PM1, PM2(Dedicated jack)

It seems that OPPO has a dedicated jack (according to nordost, 2.5 mini left and right side out).

According to oidio sound's site

As a headphone with 3.5mm cable on both sides

Beyerdynamic Gen 2 T1, T1P, T5P, and Amiron; Denon AH-D600 and D7100; Focal Clear, Elear, Elex, Elegia and Stellia; HiFiMAN HE-4XX (Gen 2), HE5se and HE6se (and other 3.5mm models); McIntosh MHP1000; Quad ERA-1; and Sony MDR-Z7 and Z1R

is cited. Except, and to my great surprise.

Will not fit Sine/Classics99.

The same jack will not fit Audeze Sine and Meze Classics99.
